          At the store, on the hanger1, the blue dress must have fallenlike water to a froth of frilled hem2, its bodice as smockedas a christening gown. A season out of date, her mother chose itfrom our local department store chiefly for the high collar,but I knew it was a dress Lisa wouldn’t have been caughtdead in. Just hidden under the neckband of lace, the circleof her purple necklace, each dark bead3 a fingertip of efficientbruise that we already knew about anyway, and simply went onimagining, as we, her classmates, filed past the white coffin4.

          經(jīng)典英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌2

          Compensation補(bǔ)償

          For each ecstatic instant

          We must an anguish1 pay

          In keen and quivering ratio

          To the ecstasy2.

          For each beloved hour

          Sharp pittances3 of years,

          Bitter contested farthings

          And coffers heaped with tears.

          The Battlefield戰(zhàn)場(chǎng)

          They dropped like flakes1,they dropped like stars,

          Like petals2 from a rose,

          When suddenly across the June

          A wind with fingers goes。

          They perished in the seamless grass,——

          No eye could find the place;

          But God on his repealless list

          Can summon every face。

          戰(zhàn)場(chǎng)

          他們雪片般落下,他們流星般落下,

          象一朵玫瑰花的花瓣紛紛落下,

          當(dāng)風(fēng)的手指忽然間

          穿劃過六月初夏。

          在眼睛不能發(fā)現(xiàn)的地方,——

          他們凋零于不透縫隙的草叢;

          但上帝攤開他無(wú)赦的名單

          依然能傳喚每一副面孔。

          My friend

          My friend must be a Bird

          Because it flies!

          Mortal,my friend must be,

          Because it dies!

          Barbs1 has it,like a Bee!

          Ah,curious friend!

          Thou puzzlest me!

          我的朋友

          我的朋友肯定是只鳥

          因?yàn)樗w翔!

          我的朋友肯定是個(gè)人,

          因它會(huì)死亡!

          它有倒刺,象蜜蜂一樣!

          哦,古怪的朋友啊!

          你使我迷茫!

          A House Of Cards 紙牌堆成的'房子

          (1)

          A house of cards 紙牌堆成的房子

          Is neat and small;潔凈及小巧

          Shake the table,搖搖桌子

          It must fall.它一定會(huì)倒。

          (2)

          Find the court cards 找出繪有人像的紙牌

          One by one;一張一張地豎起

          Raise it, roof it,----再加上頂蓋

          Now its done;----現(xiàn)在房子已經(jīng)蓋好

          Shake the table!搖搖桌子

          經(jīng)典英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌4

          Bed in Summer

          In winter I get up at night,

          And dress by yellow candle—light。

          In summer,quite the other way,

          I have to go to bed by day。

          I have to go to bed and see

          The birds still hopping on the tree,

          Or hear the grown—up peoples feet

          Still going past me in the street。

          And does it seem hard to you,

          When all the sky is clear and blue,

          And I should like so much to play,

          To have to go to bed by day?

          夏之眠

          冬日里我夜里起床,

          借著昏黃的燭光穿衣裳。

          夏日里可不一樣,

          我不得不白日里就睡覺上床。

          小鳥兒仍在樹上蹦蹦跳跳,

          大人們的腳步聲

          還在大街上回響,

          我卻得早早睡覺上床。

          天空還是那么蔚藍(lán),明亮,

          我多么想嬉戲,玩耍,

          你是否覺得

          這時(shí)候就睡覺難入夢(mèng)鄉(xiāng)?

          經(jīng)典英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌5

          Many days of childhood were greeted with a kiss,

          and songs to me as I awoke, those days I surely miss.

          He made me feel so special, “Miss America” he would sing.

          I knew I had my fathers love. It gave me courage to do anything.

          From him I learned to stand up tall, to be proud of who I am.

          Strength and determination were the qualities of this fine man.

          As the years of his life dwindled down5, that strength kept him alive.

          Plus the unfailing determination to help my ailing mother have the care she needed to survive.

          He loved her and his children, so much he gave up years of his life

          caring for this woman, his soulmate, his wife.

          Day and night he struggled for years with her disease.

          A lesser man would have been brought down to his knees.

          With illnesses of his own, he still stood by her side

          caring for her and loving her until the day she died.

          Twenty days later his own time was at an end.

          I lost my hero, my father, a man who was my friend.

          A few years have passed, and life just isnt the same.

          But as Fathers Day approaches, I will celebrate his name.

          With prayers to him and God above to stay by my side,

          to watch over me and guide me, to look down on me with pride.

          For I am my fathers daughter, one day we will meet again.

          But until then I will remember, and the love will never end.

          經(jīng)典英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌6

          ——By John Keats 濟(jì)慈[英]

          1

          Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,

          霧氣洋溢,果實(shí)圓熟的秋

          Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;

          你和成熟的太陽(yáng)成為友伴;

          Conspiring with him how to load and bless

          你們密謀用累累的珠球,

          With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;

          綴滿茅檐下的葡萄藤蔓;

          To bend with apples the mossd cottage-trees,

          使屋前的.老樹背負(fù)著蘋果,

          And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;

          讓熟味透進(jìn)果實(shí)的心中,

          To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells

          使葫蘆脹大,鼓起了榛子殼,

          With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,

          好塞進(jìn)甜核;

          And still more, later flowers for the bees,

          又為了蜜蜂,一次一次開放過遲的花朵,

          Until they think warm days will never cease,

          使它們以為日子將永遠(yuǎn)暖和,因?yàn)橄募驹缣顫M它們黏巢。

          2

          Where are the songs of Spring? Ay, where are they?

          啊.春日的歌哪里去了?但不要

          Think not of them, thou hast thy music too,

          想這些吧,你也有你的音樂——

          While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day,

          當(dāng)波狀的云把將逝的一天映照,

          And touch the stubble plains with rosy hue;

          以胭紅抹上殘梗散碎的田野,

          Then in a wailful choir the small gnats mourn

          這時(shí)啊,河柳下的一群小飛蟲

          Among the river sallows, borne aloft

          就同奏哀音,它們忽而飛高,

          Or sinking as the light wind lives or dies;

          忽而下落,隨著微風(fēng)的起滅;

          And full-grown lambs loud bleat from hilly bourn;

          籬下的蟋蟀在歌唱,在園中

          Hedge-crickets sing; and now with treble soft

          紅胸的知更鳥就群起呼哨;

          The red-breast whistles from a garden-croft;

          而群羊在山圈里高聲默默咩叫;

          And gathering swallows twitter in the skies.

          叢飛的燕子在天空呢喃不歇。

          經(jīng)典英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌7

          ——by Marty Kelley

          Winter is easy

          My branches are bare.

          Then snow starts to melt

          And springs in the air.

          Springtime is easy.

          Green leaves start to grow.

          Then spring rains are followed

          By the summer suns glow.

          Summer is easy.

          Just bask in the sun.

          Then breezes blow cooler

          And summer is done.

          Fall is not easy.

          Its time fora change.

          Green leaves turn colors,

          But mine all look strange.

          That isnt right.

          And thats just all wrong.

          My colors wont go where I think they belong.

          My leaves should be fire, all brilliant and bright.

          And try and try but tney wont come out right.

          And just when my patience begins to wear thin,

          My leaves all fall off and winter blows in.

          Winter is easy.

          經(jīng)典英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌8

          ——by Ellen Robena Field

          Golden and red trees

          Nod to the soft breeze,

          As it whispers, "Winter is near;"

          And the brown nuts fall

          At the winds loud call,

          For this is the Fall of the year.

          Good-by, sweet flowers!

          Through bright Summer hours

          You have filled our hearts with cheer

          We shall miss you so,

          And yet you must go,

          For this is the Fall of the year.

          Now the days grow cold,

          As the year grows old,

          And the meadows are brown and sere;

          Brave robin redbreast

          Has gone from his nest,

          For this is the Fall of the year.

          I do softly pray

          At the close of day,

          That the little children, so dear,

          May as purely grow

          As the fleecy snow

          That follows the Fall of the year.

          經(jīng)典英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌9

          A touch of cold in the Autumn night

          一縷清寒在秋夜中飄蕩漫步出門,

          I walked abroad, And saw the ruddy moon lean over a hedge Like a red faced farmer.

          見一輪紅月倚在樹籬上, 如同一個(gè)紅臉膛的農(nóng)夫。

          I did not stop to speak, but nodded, And round about were the wistful stars

          我沒有停下來說話,只點(diǎn)了點(diǎn)頭, 周圍是沉思的繁星,

          With white faces like town children.

          白皙的臉,像城市中的'孩童。

          經(jīng)典英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌10

          A Dinosaur for Christmas

          A dinosaur for Christmas

          is the only thing I need.

          It doesnt matter if its slow

          or one thats built for speed.

          A massive one, a tiny one

          or one thats in between.

          A dinosaur thats muddy brown

          or bright and shiny green.

          I dont care if its big and tall

          or really old and ugly.

          I dont care if its rough and tough

          or soft and cute and snuggly.

          A spiny one will do the trick.

          A scaly one is fine.

          As long as its a living, breathing dinosaur,

          and mine.

          I promise if you bring me one

          Ill never ask for more,

          Thats all I want for Christmas:

          just one single dinosaur.

          經(jīng)典英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌11

          Spring goeth all in white,

          Crowned with milk-white may;

          in fleecy flocks of light,

          oer heaven the white clouds stray;

          white butterflies in the air;

          white daisies prank the ground;

          the cherry and hoary pear,

          scatter their snow around.

          經(jīng)典英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌12

          THE VALUE OF TIME

          To realize the value of one year:Ask a student who has failed a final exam.

          To realize the value of one month:Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.

          To realize the value of one week:Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

          To realize the value of one hour:Ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

          To realize the value of one minute:Ask a person who has missed the train,bus or plane.

          To realize the value of one second:Ask a person who has survived an accident.

          To realize the value of one millisecond:Ask the person who has won a silver medal in the Olympics. Time waits for no one.

          Treasure every moment you have.

          經(jīng)典英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌13

          I have been here before,

          But when or how I cannot tell:

          I know the grass beyond the door,

          The sweet keen smell,

          The sighing sound, the lights around the shore.

          You have been mine before,

          How long ago I may not know:

          But just when at that swallow’s soar

          Your neck turned so,

          Some veil did fall, --- I knew it all of yore.

          Has this been thus before?

          And shall not thus time’s eddying flight

          Still with our lives our love restore

          In death’s despite,

          And day and night yield one delight once more?

          頓悟

          經(jīng)典英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌14

          英文詩(shī)歌是各種英語(yǔ)文體中最富有激情和感情色彩的一種文體。詩(shī)歌往往用高度凝練的語(yǔ)言來表達(dá)詩(shī)人的喜怒哀樂以及詩(shī)人對(duì)生活和客觀世界的理解和感悟。當(dāng)我們?cè)谛蕾p一首詩(shī)時(shí),可以通過文字捕捉到詩(shī)人的內(nèi)心情感。一首優(yōu)秀的詩(shī)可以以其特有的方式影響人們的精神世界。

          一、詩(shī)歌的篇幅一般短小精悍,語(yǔ)言精練,感情強(qiáng)烈;在格式上,英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌同漢語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌一樣講究押韻。

          詩(shī)的押韻是指通過重復(fù)元音或輔音以達(dá)到一定的音韻效果。一首詩(shī)的押韻具有帶規(guī)律性的一致性,尤其是在詩(shī)句的末尾,稱尾韻。下面我們來看Thomas Nashe的一首詩(shī):

          Spring

          Spring, the sweet Spring, is the year’s pleasant king;

          Then blooms each thing, then maids dance in a ring,

          Cold doth not sting, the pretty birds do sing,

          Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!

          The palm and may make country houses gay,

          Lambs frisk and play, the shepherds pipe all day,

          And we hear aye birds tune this merry lay,

          Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!

          The fields breathe sweet, the daisies kiss our feet,

          Young lovers meet, old wives a-sunning sit,

          In every street theses tunes our ears do greet,

          Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!

          Spring! the sweet Spring!

          這首詩(shī)押韻整齊,讀起來很有節(jié)奏感, 表現(xiàn)了春天里萬(wàn)物復(fù)蘇、生機(jī)盎然、一派歡樂祥和的生動(dòng)景象。

          二、現(xiàn)代詩(shī)歌可以押韻,也可以不押韻,但需注意兩點(diǎn):

          1. 要有節(jié)奏感。沒有節(jié)奏感的詩(shī)歌不能算詩(shī),最多是分行的散文。

          2. 要把握句子結(jié)構(gòu)的平衡,也就是詩(shī)句長(zhǎng)短不要相差太遠(yuǎn),否則讀起來給人不平衡、不舒服之感。

          下面我們欣賞一首現(xiàn)代詩(shī):

          The Significance of Failure

          Failure doesn’t mean you are a failure,

          It does mean you haven’t succeeded yet.

          Failure doesn’t mean you have accomplished nothing,

          It does mean you have learned something.

          Failure doesn’t mean you have been a fool,

          It does mean you had a lot of faith.

          Failure doesn’t mean you’ve been disgraced,

          It does mean you were willing to try.

          Failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it,

          It does mean you have to do something in a different way.

          Failure doesn’t mean you are inferior,

          It does mean you are not perfect.

          Failure doesn’t mean you’ve wasted your life,

          It does mean you have a reason to start afresh.

          Failure doesn’t mean you should give up,

          It does mean you must try harder.

          Failure doesn’t mean you’ll never make it,

          It does mean it will take a little longer.

          Failure doesn’t mean God has abandoned you,

          It does mean God has a better idea.

          這首詩(shī)是Robert Harold Schuller的.一篇?jiǎng)?lì)志佳作。這首詩(shī)雖然句尾不押韻,但是由于每句詩(shī)都以排比的形式重復(fù)使用Failure doesn’t mean ... It does mean ...,使得整首詩(shī)節(jié)奏感很強(qiáng),讀起來催人奮進(jìn),使讀者受到感染。

          [佳作賞析]

          When You Are Old

          When you are old and grey and full of sleep,

          And nodding by the fire, take down this book,

          And slowly read, and dream of the soft look

          Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

          How many loved your moments of glad grace,

          And loved your beauty with love false or true,

          But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,

          And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

          And bending down beside the glowing bars,

          Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled

          And paced upon the mountains overhead

          And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

          這首詩(shī)的作者是William Butler Yeats(威廉·巴特勒·葉芝)。葉芝是愛爾蘭最偉大的詩(shī)人之一 ,對(duì)現(xiàn)代詩(shī)影響很大。這首詩(shī)是葉芝寫給自己心愛之人的情詩(shī)。詩(shī)中的主人公“你”指的是愛爾蘭革命家Maud Gonne,詩(shī)人遇見她并愛上她,曾多次向其求婚,均未成功,但詩(shī)人對(duì)她愛慕終生,于是就有了這篇經(jīng)典之作。

          全詩(shī)共三節(jié),前兩節(jié)均是對(duì)Maud Gonne的愛意傾訴。第一節(jié)中雖然多次用第二人稱“你”,但實(shí)際上是描述作者自己心中的所思所想。第二節(jié)中詩(shī)人采用了對(duì)比的手法,講述了對(duì)Maud Gonne的愛慕之情,突出自己永恒的愛。最后一節(jié)詩(shī)人描述了自己內(nèi)心悲傷的感情。詩(shī)中sleep / deep, book / look, grace / face, bars / stars, fled / overhead這幾組韻調(diào)使詩(shī)歌富于音韻感,有音律美,節(jié)奏感強(qiáng),讀起來瑯瑯上口?v觀全詩(shī),沒有華麗的辭藻,也找不到甜蜜的情話,有的只是平淡的文字背后寄予的永恒的愛意和深情,反而能讓讀者久久回味。

          經(jīng)典英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌17

          Thank the wind thank the rain

          Thank the fate letting us meet each other

          Since I have you

          Life is filled with wander

          Since I have you

          Life is fill of happiness

          You are the warm sun when I am old

          You are the sweet water when I am thirsty

          You are the shinning light when I am in dark

          You are the power engine when I am exhausted

          Every time I see smile on your face ,I think all of the effect is worth

          Every time I hear you encourage me to hold the line ,I think there is there is nothing I cant overcome

          Every time I recall the days we went by together ,I remind myself to do everything possible to give you a better life

          When the days are getting hard for you ,I will always stay here by your side

          When you need some who cares for you ,I will be concerned with you all the time

          When you want to pour out ,the sadness my heart will open wide for you forever.

          Thank the god ,thank you, thank our love, for making my life wonderful.

          天使

          愛米莉·伊麗莎白·狄更生

          從滴滴露珠之中,

          可以觀察早晨時(shí)的天使,

          彎腰,采摘,微笑,翻飛:

          蓓蕾是否也算仙子?

          從顆顆沙礫之中,

          可以觀察驕陽(yáng)下的天使,

          彎腰,采摘,嘆息,翻飛;

          滿載花朵熱得面紅耳赤。 ANGELS

          Emily Elizabeth Dickinson ANGELS in the early morning May be seen the dews among,

          Stooping, plucking, smiling, flying: Do the buds to them belong?

          Angels when the sun is hottest May be seen the sands among,

          Stooping, plucking, sighing, flying; Parched the flowers they bear along

          經(jīng)典英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌19

          In front of the person you love, your heart beats faster,

          But in front of the person you like, you get happy.

          In front of the person you love, winter seems like spring,

          But in front of the person you like, winter is just beautiful winter.

          If you look into the eyes of the one you love, you blush,

          But if you look into the eyes of the one you like, you smile.

          In front of the person you love, you can’t say everything on your mind,

          But in front of the person you like, you can.

          In front of the person you love, you tend to get shy,

          But in front of the person you like, you can show your own self.

          The person you love comes into your mind every 2 minutes,

          You can’t look straight into the eyes of the one you love,

          But you can always smile into the eyes of the one you like.

          When the one you love is crying, you cry with them,

          But when the one you like is crying, you end up comforting.

          The feeling of love starts from the eye.

          And the feeling of like starts from the ear.

          So if you stop liking a person you used to like,

          All you need to do is cover your ears.

          But if you try to close your eyes,

          Love turns into a teardrop and remains in your heart forever after.

          In a fatal accident

          So much pain in the body,

          Really wanted to die,

          But never wanted to cry

          Could I cry
